College is a sheltered place that encourages freedom, expression, creativity, individuality - but most importantly, detachment. Everything becomes more tangible once you graduate, blurring lines between reality and ideology, the pragmatic and the idealistic. Our lives become a race to survival - working to achieve that next goal, pay that bill, compete against friends and family - anything but living in the present, detaching ourselves from materialistic things, understanding the extremities of our actions, dealing with our thoughts and our traumas. As late millennials and gen-Zers, this blinds us from our true vision and purpose. Hopefully, this blog provides an outlet to describe and elucidate a new perspectives.
